Interview with Juan Diaz, Jr

When did you first start writing?
I was about 9 years old, when I wrote my first horror story "The Snake Woman".
What's the story behind your latest book?
I always wanted to write an anthology book in the spirit of the old E.C Comics.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Creating worlds out of thin air.
What are you working on next?
I'm developing a story based on a Buck Rogers type Space Police Officer named "Copper" Jones. It's going to be very like those old cliffhanger serials of the 1930's.
Who are your favorite authors?
Dean Koontz, Stephen King & Max Brooks.
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
Social networking is your best friend (Facebook, Twitter, etc).
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I want to create my own destiny, so to speak. I don't want to deal with politics.
What do your fans mean to you?
I want fans to enjoy themselves and hopefully look over their shoulders after reading my stories.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Watching T.V, movies, writing and filmmaking.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I go online and read reviews or if I like a particular author. Either that or if the storyline is interesting.
