Interview with Julius A. Boatwright

What do your fans mean to you?
The people who take the time out of their day to download my e-books mean absolutely everything to me. I don't really look at them as fans because they're normal, everyday people just like me. I would rather not create this imaginary barrier between myself and the readers because there's more value and depth to our connection. I wouldn't exist without their support.
What are you working on next?
I plan to release self-help e-books monthly as part of the Wisdom to Survive series. Each of these downloads will be available for free to readers as well.
What do you read for pleasure?
I spend the majority of my time reading self-help and personal development books and articles. I think it's extremely important to read the top authors in this genre of writing because it keeps me sharp.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I spent most of my childhood in Farrell, PA. It's a very tiny town located just about 70 miles north of Pittsburgh, PA. My hometown is extremely small and everyone who lives there knows their neighbors on a first and last name basis. I witnessed a great deal of crime and poverty coming up in the community. That really helped me learn how to appreciate all of the blessings that I have in my life, no matter how insignificant they may seem. It also taught me how to enjoy the creative writing process and every challenge that comes along with it.
