Interview with Karina Angell

Who are your favorite authors?
My all time favorite authors are Edgar Allan Poe, Maya Angelou, Oscar Wilde, Emily Dickinson and Mark Twain.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up on the beautiful countryside of Northern Norway. I would say the natural phenomena such as polar nights and the northern lights (Aurora Borealis) gave me inspiration growing up.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I enjoy reading, watching classical movies, listening to music, blogging and cooking. I draw a lot of inspiration from music and art, which helps me write.
What do your fans mean to you?
They are the reason I write, I hope I'll have some kind of impact on whoever reads a book of mine.
What are you working on next?
A poetry collection and a mystery novel.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Through recommendations from friends or from a search on Google Play.
What is your writing process?
I usually just sit down with a cup of tea and a deadline.
How do you approach cover design?
With the last one I looked through some old photos on my camera, found a picture I took of the sky. Then I edited it, added the title and my name.
What do you read for pleasure?
Poetry, mainly written by Edgar Allan Poe. I admire him for his dark and mysterious writing style.
When did you first start writing?
I started writing short stories when I was fourteen, but I reckon I didn't write and finish anything successfully until I was seventeen.
