Interview with Tara Boxman

Published 2014-12-15.
When did you first start writing?
I began writing poetry in junior high when I was inspired by my eighth grade English teacher. She was a lover of Walt Whitman, and I was too. I would later branch out into essays when I was in college.
What's the story behind your latest book?
This is about a five year period of time when I had to work in a big box store to survive during the great recession. I promised that I would write a book about this time in my life.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I decided to become an Indie auther when I saw an individual in the Seattle Times who was on the New York Times bestseller list and she had published with Smashwords. I was also beginning to get a few rejection letters.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The greatest joy of writing is the chance to express myself in an artistic fashion.
