I started writing seriously about five years ago, even though I wanted to write for more than a decade.

Story ideas come to me in different ways, usually right before I close my eyes and head to sleep. I get a situation or title in my head and I don't rest until I get a sketching of where a story will go out. From there it depends on which muse is speaking to me and for how long. I'm usually working on 1 or 2 ideas (within different sub-genres) at a time. I write on my lunch period and on weekends. And I don't have one place where I write (or one device), which I find extremely useful.

I enjoy watching movies and television shows. I hang out with my friends in person or virtually. And I talk to my family quite a bit.

I read romance novels for pleasure. I have my favorite authors, for sure, but I always find new authors to read and support.

I bought myself a kindle a few years ago and haven't looked back. I occasionally read on my laptop, but for the most part, I read on my kindle or print books.

Touch Me Softly is a reawakening story. Both characters (Rafe & Wyn) had trauma, either recent or in the past, and are at different stages of rebuilding their lives. It's a story about hope and learning to trust again. It's about finding love even when you don't think you deserve it.

I'm finding that I'm a complete control freak in this area of my life. LOL. When I started writing seriously and moving forward with everything, I just knew I wanted to do it as an indie author. There wasn't really a question about going another route for me. I appreciate the autonomy of it. I'm able to make my own schedule and focus on the stories and characters speaking to me the loudest.

Watching my characters come to life on the page is pretty phenomenal. I like writing/reading the banter back and forth, seeing their distinct personalities come to the fore. It's been an amazing experience so far!

My fans mean everything to me. One reason I write is so that someone else can get/feel/learn something from it. I appreciate readers so much for taking a chance on authors like me because it really means a lot to me personally, but also to the indie author community as a whole.

I'm working on a new adult standalone novella. This will be a slight shift from Touch Me Softly as it's a college romance. I'm having a fun time writing it and I hope to publish it soon!
