I actually don't read so I don't have any favourite authors.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
I have to get up to feed the animals and then workout in my gym. Writing has its drawbacks. I have to sit for most of the day so to compensate, I hit the gym first. Literally, I hit the boxing bag! I have to say that writing is the main reason for getting up because I can't wait to find out what' going to happen next.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I'm active. I like shooting, drag racing, horse riding, motorbike riding, travelling, swimming, dancing, singing and meditating.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
I definitely do as it was when I first encountered a spirit. She had a story to tell and I was obviously in the right or wrong (depending on how you look at it) place and time to receive it. Vanessa Smythe changed my life.
What is your writing process?
I write when ever I can but I have to be careful to do it when my spouse isn't around because he doesn't like me writing. Really the spirit should have picked another author!
How do you approach cover design?
I try to show the story in the cover and I would love for people to see the spirits. I attended painting classes and I've tried my best to paint the covers but as in writing, everything evolves.
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
Describe your desk
A mess but I actually write on a chair in the corner of my bedroom.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Wales and then moved to Australia when I was eleven. My school in Wales taught education, religion and mythology.
When did you first start writing?
About seven to eight years ago
What's the story behind your latest book?
I'm writing the tenth book at the moment and the spirits are showing me past lives.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
Publishing houses are too slow and I am very impatient.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Learning from the lessons that spirits were taught when they were here.
What are you working on next?
I'm going to write a non-fiction book about my experience in Egypt which started when a spirit appeared before me whilst I was on the treadmill at the gym. I nearly fell off.
