Interview with Karen Truong

How do you approach cover design?
I don't entirely judge by the cover. I rather judge by the summary and the title. The cover design is an extra bonus. When I design my cover for my writing, I would choose depending on what it is about.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
My top five are The Fault in our Stars, Harry Potter series, The Forbidden Game, The Outsiders, and Hex Hall. I'm more into fiction books and I just love the plot in each book.
What do you read for pleasure?
I re-read the Harry Potters for pleasure and I would read stories that other people write on Wattpad.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
The only device I used is my iPhone when I read on Wattpad.
Describe your desk
My desk is pretty messy with my school stuff, especially stuff from two years ago.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Houston and it influenced me because of how people treat others.
When did you first start writing?
I started writing when I started to read stories online.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The greatest joy of writing is the part where I can vent out my feelings or even write what I wished that happened to me.
What are you working on next?
I'm working on my novel.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
When I'm not writing, I'm either doing my homework, reading online stories, or playing games.

They say being patient is the key in a relationship. When one left for a business trip, did the other stay faithful? Or maybe it's the other way around. What about their happy ending, or maybe it had been based on lies for the entire time?
