I don't have time to read the way I once did. I miss reading for pleasure.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
I like the IPAD. I purchased one a couple of years ago. Now I can't live without it.
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
Word of mouth has been very effective for me.
Describe your desk
Nothing special. Has my desktop computer (All in one). Has a printer, pens, pencil, photos of favorite artists. Don't spend much time at it because of my laptop but it comes in handy when needed.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in North Little Rock, Arkansas. It did not influence me to become a writer.
When did you first start writing?
When I moved to the DC area almost twenty(20) years ago. I was out of work and job hunting. I was a huge fan of Silhouette and Harlequin and always believed that I could write one. Time on my hand, I begin working on my first novel.
What's the story behind your latest book?
"Quarter To Midnight" is scheduled for release in the Fall 2014. Colonel Victor Sexton has retired military service and adjusting to civilian life. The wedding day for Victor and Dominique is in a few days, but the murder of a military soldier could overshadow their special day, when the suspect is none other than, Victor former fiancee, Felicia Mason, who ask Victor to clear her name.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I enjoy being my own boss and in control of my writing career. I have also written for a traditional publisher. Not really much of difference to me. I have found success with both.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Coming up with a idea, putting it on paper (I do mean paper), and following where the story and characters take me.
What do your fans mean to you?
Fans make Authors. They are the reason we as writers do what we do. When fans express to me that they enjoy my novels, I know I have done my job as a writer. Giving fans the stories that they enjoy and will always remember is my passion. Love the fans!
