Ahhh... the answer to this question has changed so many times in life! Today? It's my amazing daughter. She absolutely blows my mind on an hourly basis, and in mostly good ways! :)
I work the way I do so I can spend the most time with her and her Daddy. It's the most important part of my life, for sure!
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Ha! I'm an artist, a web designer, a project manager, and a Mommy. I absolutely love being with my family and friends, or designing collections for print, or working on a huge web project. Anything that allows me to be... me.
What are you working on next?
I'm actually working to expand upon "7 Days..." with worksheets and an ecourse that will allow readers to connect directly with me and each other during each session. I'm REALLY excited, because I think an ecourse will be the best way for me to reach the most people, in order to help them fulfill their creative dreams!
Describe your desk
If a messy desk implies a messy intellect, then what does an empty desk imply? Neat people never make the exciting kinds of discoveries I do!
What is your writing process?
Well, with "7 Days..." it went something like this:
Get the idea. Write the entire thing in three sittings. Edit. Edit more. Fill in the missing pieces. Edit some more. Send it out to other published friends to shred it apart (seriously, I asked them to do this). Write more. Edit a teensy bit more. Hit the button and publish!
How do you approach cover design?
I like to keep things simple. Being professionally versed in Photoshop, I do my own graphics, but there's no shame in hiring out if a) you can't do it OR b) you don't want to spend the time.
