Interview with lebronx

What inspired you to sit down and actually start writing this book? Why now?
Local news reporters inspired me to write THE BISHOP. When the public is given a slanted perspective on any subject, I ask, what is another point of view. It's particularly interesting to me when it involves a community response and in essences creates a Willie Lynch notion within our Nation, meaning the Black Nation.
Does your upbringing, prior relationships or life experiences inspire your writing?
The imaginary and life experiences are my resources. It keeps me with a sense of honesty and truth.
Where do your book ideas come from? Are your books plot driven or character driven? Why?
I write constantly in my head about many things. My characters are inspired by people that I meet and sometimes people that I don't meet but have heard about in some sorted story. People are like rose gardens, many colors, beautiful and overflowing with stories I can write.
Introduce us to your current work. What genre do you consider your book? Is this book available in digital forms like Nook and Kindle?
THE BISHOP is only available at this time in ebook. I am told ebook is the wave of the future.
Give us some insight into your main characters. What makes each one so special?
The main characters are special because each represent an emotion, a thought, and an alternative to the normal response. I enjoyed finding new avenues to go down while writing THE BISHOP. It has never been my desire to appeal to intellectual snobbery. I simply like to write what is fun and how I want to write. No pattern, no formula, no specific way, it offers me freedom!
What topics are primarily discussed? Did you learn anything personal from writing your book?
It is a story of fiction and that allows me to explore. I would like to believe with each book I write, I grow as a human being.
What defines success for you, as a published author? What are your ambitions for your writing career?
I became successful the day I wrote the first word for my first book. I am blessed by God to understand the essences of that and I don't necessary look for a career. I am in my autumn season of life and feel blessed to have the mind set to write.
What are your expectations for this book? What would you like for readers to do after reading this book?
If there are no expectations, there are no disappointments. If a reader chooses me, I would hope they would choose to tell someone after reading my work. I humbled each time the number change and another reader chooses me.
Is there anything else you would like to add that I haven't included?
Never allow others to change the flow of the waters for your fishing spot. Love God, self, and everything else that makes you dance in the rain even when the tears come
How can readers discover more about you and your work?
Read Colored Waiting Room and look for my next book before the end of the year.
