Jane Austen is my all time favorite and I definitely love Diana Gabaldon. When I was younger my grandmother gave me all of her Outlander series books. Loved them soo much back then and still do. I love how they are now in a TV series.
What are you working on next?
I am working on a few things right now. Definitely, will continue to write more e-books. I have a series of women's health books that I want to write, including topics about how to naturally address sexual desire, depression, menopause, herpes and bacterial infections. I'm also developing webinars about various women's health issues, I believe the webinars will be a great way for women to come together, learn about various women's health issues, and get their questions answered by a healthcare provider. Most often healthcare providers do not have the time to discuss what is going on with them and able to answer all of their questions. I am hoping by offering more e-books and small intimate webinars this will help women around the world to what they truly deserve when it comes to their health.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Usually, my friends will recommend a book they really liked or I will do an online search for a certain topic or author I heard about.
What is your writing process?
When I wrote this book, I outlined each of the topics I wanted to cover about vaginal yeast infections and then I just started tackling each item. I have to say I didn't necessarily go in order but it all seemed to come together perfectly in the end. I am very proud of my e-book.
How do you approach cover design?
For the cover of Taming the Yeast Beast, I wanted something that was funny and would catch the readers eye as something they would want to read. When I look at other women's health books sometimes the covers are very standard and I wanted my cover to stand out. Get a giggle out of anyone that looked at it. I really love the cover.
What do you read for pleasure?
Believe it or not, I read a lot about women's health and alternative health modalities. I firmly believe life is one big classroom and I love learning and then spreading what I learned with others. I also will throw in a historical romance novel in between. Love Jane Austen!!
What is your e-reading device of choice?
I have an i-pad that I do the majority of reading from but I have to say... I love an old fashion actual book as well. Although I love my i-pad for reading, I also really love reading an actual book.
Describe your desk
My desk has a lot on it. I do a weekly live streaming show on Facebook, so I have 2 computer monitors and microphone, which take up a lot of space. Every year I make a vision board that is in an 8x10 frame in the corner so I can see it every day. I have 2 crystals (amethyst and citrine) in front of my computer and a pile of notebooks on the side. I try to keep my work area clean of clutter but that doesn't always happen.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
I am grateful for a lot of things in my life but I would say that one thing that truly inspires me to get up every day is that I have been given another day on this beautiful place we call earth. I'm given another day to help another person, to help put a smile on someone's face, to live my life with my husband
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The part I love about writing is knowing that women all over the world will be able to have access to this information. It allows me to not only help one woman at a time when they book an appointment with me but allows me to spread all the advice I give to women all over the world.
