Published 2014-07-19.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I search for a certain topic then read the short description. If it sounds good, I get it.
What is your writing process?
I write like I think. I'm not into too much description. I am more straight forward. I get to the point quickly. I need complete quiet and motivation or I end up stopping and starting many times.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes, It was my autobiography that I had to write for an English class. My Professor at the time informed me, it was great. That's what actually started me on the road to writing. I had a lot of fun writing it. That was when I was 16
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
Yes, it was an Harlequin romance novel. I was 13 or 14 at the time. I thought wow this is great! I haven't stopped reading since.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
That is a difficult question for me. I have too many that I love. One few comes to mind though, " Fever series" by Karen Marie Moning. I cried and I laughed. These were very inspiring books. I also love all of Gena Showalter books. She has a great imagination. You can tell I love romance.
What do you read for pleasure?
I love romance. I read every chance I get. I love fantasy and futuristic romance the best , however, I can read anything and enjoy it!
What is your e-reading device of choice?
I have an apple Ipad, so I read off that most often.
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
I just started actually. I have noticed though I do get more response from Twitter and certain Websites I'm a member of. I am still checking others out.
Describe your desk
Up against my back wall sits an antique, scarred wooden desk, where each of those scars represent a memory of my family long past. Three very large, heavy college resource books, laid one on top of the other, sit quietly, waiting for me to open them. I have multiple papers scattered haphazardly about. Multiple blank DVDs sitting to my left. I have an Elmer's glue stick rolled up against an orange folder which is full of ink filled paper. Laying directly in front of me, are 4 notebooks full of unfinished stories waiting for my attention. And close to the center edge sits my laptop.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I was born in Montana but raised in Wyoming. I guess I have a lot of westerly tendencies in most of my writing, a lot of country going on.
When did you first start writing?
I started many years ago but just for myself. I recently started writeng for others about a year ago.
What's the story behind your latest book?
Destiny Steele is a single mother who is struggling through life. She wins the lottery and believes this is the answer to all her dreams. She realizes money is nothing compared to family and love. Survival is strong in this young woman. I guess I made her a lot like me. I am a single mother and sometimes I feel like life is a constant battle, yet I would give everything up for my family.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I started reading the stories and thought why not me? It is fun and I enjoy meeting other avid readers and writers.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
I met a lot of great Authors and they contributed some good pointers. I have alos learned how to market and format my EBooks.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
I get to play make believe for a while. It takes me out of real life struggles into the virtual life of anything can happen. It's my fun time.
What do your fans mean to you?
They are everything to me. They inspire me to test my limits. I write for them to enjoy my fantasy world. I love hearing from them and discussing ideas. Best of all I love to meet new and different people.
Who are your favorite authors?
I love Johanna Lindsey, Gena Showalter, Karen Marie Moning, Alice Walker and Hannah Howell. There are many more. I have just too many.

I am working on two Novels, one called Shelby and the other , Trinity, book two of The Leftovers. Shelby is about a young girl who discovers her true self on an amazing journey to find her parents.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
