Interview with a.d. lanna

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Detroit, Mi and I'm still growing up there. Detroit has inspired me to get out there and share different experiences.
When did you first start writing?
I first started writing at the age of 5 (serious writing). It turned out that I had much to learn on this journey of writing so I'm still here as a writer and I'm better. It's January 7th of 2014 and I'm currently 14 years of age, turning 15 on March 23rd.
What's the story behind your latest book?
The story behind my latest book (hasn't been released or even discussed in public yet) :
It has to do with the issues of depression and eating disorders and other issues that teens and young adults deal with such as myself. I interview a person then write a short story for each person. Its a new innovative idea and hopefully it goes well.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The greatest joy of writing for me is knowing that one of my books will probably save somebody's life, so being inspirational and making an impact.
What do your fans mean to you?
My fans mean the world to me and I hope some of my fans see my books as a way to stay alive (for those who contemplate suicide). I want my books to be inspirational to those who support me because in reality, my fans are my inspiration so why not be theirs?
What are you working on next?
The previous mentioned book: Scar Society .

Who are your favorite authors?
John Green, Sarah Dessen, MizzyTee, and etc. I love all authors.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
My mom, my mom inspires me to get up each morning because I know that I have to stay alive for her.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
When I'm not writing, I'm planning my stories or going on rants about the possibilities in the world.
How do you discover the ebooks you read? and
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
No because it was for school and the teacher kept it (hope she didnt publish it in her name) haha.
What author inspires you the most?
John Green inspires me the most and he's saved my life through his books. I want to be as inspirational as him. I want to be a writer of infinities.
Describe your desk
Um, my couch and a blanket on my lap.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
My iPod Touch, fourth generation but I am looking to get a tablet to read on.
Why do you want to be an author.
To a Writer of Infinities.
To inspire and make an impact.
