There are no approved processes for writing. I think everybody starts in their own way. If you have a hard time getting started one easy way to go is to start by listing every thought you have about the topic.
What do you read for pleasure?
I like to know new things, to have new questions, to elaborate my own answers. That get I from the books I read for fun.

Describe your desk
My desk is usually covered in paper with sketches of characters and plot ideas. It's also typically has about four or five coffee mugs. Lot's of pens and pencils. Bowls of oranges. Lot's and lot's of oranges. My favorite books and some movies piled high on top of my desk.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
People that take you for granted thinking it can't be done.

I think Smashwords is a great site for authors makes the job easier!
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
I discover it and share it with others, the only way I can - I WRITE.
What do your fans mean to you?
My fans have been supporting me for years. Just click the link. But it's amazing to have so many nice people believe in you!
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I look first for my favorite authors," coming in at 18%. This makes sense. As I mention when I present my Seven Secrets to Ebook Publishing Success talk, the author is the brand and if the author can earn the trust and loyalty of readers, readers will return to that brand for their next read. Readers in this group may also be more risk-averse. One respondent commented, "I'm at a point in life where I mostly stick with authors I already know and like. Why waste time and money on something I may not like?
