Interview with Esme Leon

What is your writing process?
I often think of a idea out of nowhere and I write it down. Later, it becomes a story.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
The first story I read seriously was A Corner Of The Universe. Just thinking of it makes me cry.
How do you approach cover design?
DIY if you're broke.
What do you read for pleasure?
Coming Of Age stuff, fluff and supernatural-ish.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
Phone, tablet, anything really.
Describe your desk
EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING.
When did you first start writing?
The brd grade. I wrote a story based off of a dream I had and the fairytale Cinderella for my standardized test.
What's the story behind your latest book?
Sex In The City but without white leads.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I realized long ago that most big publishers print a certain demographic.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Seeing the comments people write about my stories.
What do your fans mean to you?
They're the little stars of my universe
