Interview with Marcia Blair

When did you first start writing?
I first started writing at the age of 12. I love to write poems and stories.
What's the story behind your latest book?
This book was a creation of my own imagination. It was something that I really wanted to do. I became really sick last year and writing this book was therapeutic for me. I was on bed rest for almost ten months. Writing allowed me to escape.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The greatest joy of writing for me is for people to enjoy what I have wrote and to help someone that can maybe relate to my stories.
What do your fans mean to you?
My fans mean everything to me. If it was not for them my writing would not be appreciated.
What are you working on next?
I am working on Part II to my book Ain't Karma a B!tch and a book of my poems.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
My family, the love for what I do and just to enjoy life no matter how bad I feel that day, I know that God blessed me to wake. That inspires me enough.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I spend time with my family enjoying each others company. We watch Tv, talk a lot and play games. We also love to cook.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes, the first story I every wrote I was in high school and the name of the story was Candy. It was about a troubled teenage girl who had lost her way.
What do you read for pleasure?
I love to read anything. I especially love fiction, urban fiction, horrors, thrillers, and mysteries.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
The Ipad.
What is my favorite holiday?
I love Christmas. I love to see my family happy and the excitement on their faces when we decorate and open gifts.
