When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Volunteering, working full time, and spending quality time with family.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Internet search or social media
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
No, but I do remember jus t writing papers in high school and college. I always excelled so I knew This was something I would eventually pursue.
What is your writing process?
I pray for guidance always and just wait for an answer, with this book I woke up several nights with thoughts and just began to write them down.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
No, not sure what it was.
How do you approach cover design?
A reader;loves a picture of the author and combine that with something nice and soft always catches an eye.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
Three Little Pigs, Charlotte's Web, Cinderella, and the Bible. All of these books have stories of hope and triumph, they fought for their dreams and never gave up.
What do you read for pleasure?
The newspaper or a magazine
What is your e-reading device of choice?
I prefer the actually book but will read from my cell phone.
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
Persistence, social media, and just staying out there getting heard and noticed.
Describe your desk
Huge, notes everywhere! Very comfortable area that provides relaxation and quietness.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up on a farm outside Selma, Al. You learn to appreciate the little things in life and always be thankful. Our spiritual life was impt as a family and it kept me encouraged to pursue bigger dreams. when challenges involving my health arose I was up for the fight and just not giving on the things in life that holds the most value.
When did you first start writing?
In my early years in elementary school
What's the story behind your latest book?
My book involves my long battle with Lyme disease. It send a ray of hope and determination to all my readers that may be going through some rough times to never give up. It's encouraging and full of faith, love, and perserverance.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
We all have a story and there are so many people out there that has your story! So, why not share it...
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
Yes, But its still early and I have some more work to do on my ebook. Every little exposure helps.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Peace that writing brings and a sense of relief...
What do your fans mean to you?
Everything! I want them to know that I love them and so does God. Hope is there!

What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
The will to live!
