I started writing when I was sixteen, on the train to college to pass the time. I gave up very quickly as my novel was terrible, and picked writing up again in 2015.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Hall Green, Birmingham (in the UK), just down the road from Sarehole Mill, upon which J. R. R. Tolkien based the Shire. I used to go fishing in the river while my dad read the Hobbit to me, so from a young age, I was very much into fantasy and adventures - particularly children's stories with a dark twist
What do you read for pleasure?
Mostly non-fiction but quite a bit of literary fiction. Often, I go back and re-read The Book of Lost Things by John Connolly.
Describe your desk
An utter mess!
What is your e-reading device of choice?
