Desk? What desk? I write with a laptop, a recliner, a cat and a cup of coffee.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in the South. I enjoy depicting Southern settings and people in my work, from the neighborhood busybody who takes pie to newcomers in order to see inside the house (Cooley's Panther, Stalking Evan) to the urban characters in The Whole Truth, which is set near Nashville.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I like to try new things. I mean, why not? What if being an indie author is as tasty as chocolate truffles? I had to know.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
My favorite part of storytelling is when my characters do completely ridiculous things but I can get away with it because FICTION. Also, I can put cats in any story I want.

Clyde Edgerton, Jennifer Crusie, Sandra Boynton, Lindsay Buroker, Linnea Sinclar, Carla Kelly, Marion Chesney, JK Rowling, Sophie Kinsella (but not the Shopaholics), Natalie Damschroder, Patricia Briggs, and too many more to list.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
I get hungry.
What are you working on next?
My current work in progress as of January 2014 is the third book in the Felidae series. I'm also working on a science fiction romance spoof.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
