Interview with Merkur Publishing Inc.

Published 2014-06-20.
What is the greatest joy of translating for you?
Finding answers to life's many spiritual questions, and discovering that things have changed very little in many hundreds of years. During our many years at Merkur Publishing, we've learned that spiritual truths can be built upon and that they are never-changing and abolsute.
What do your customers mean to you?
When we get feedback from people who have purchased our books and have benefitted from the writings of Franz Bardon, Jakob Lorber, and others, it makes our task of publishing these ancient texts worthwhile.
What are you working on next?
We are working on the ten-volume set of The Great Gospel of John & Matthew by Jakob Lorber.
Who are your favorite authors?
Franz Bardon, Jakob Lorber, Karl von Eckartshausen, Paracelsus.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Knowing that we're doing the best that we can in this insane world.
How do you approach cover design?
We try to approach cover design from the reader's point of view and what he or she can relate to, based on the title of our works.
What inspired you to promote Franz Bardon’s magical system?
Deciding to translate and publish Bardon's books was quite a gradual process which happened quite naturally. We never dreamed that we would be doing what we are doing, and even after many years we are still overwhelmed by the position we are in, and we are grateful for it and consider it a great blessing.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
Philosophical and spiritual books, ones we can learn from.
Many people ask about the source of the Bardon system. Everyone has their ideas about which tradition he drew from. Can you shed any light on this?
There is only one source and Franz Bardon mentions it several times. Divine Providence!
