Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Oh, yes. I was 12. The story is about a school trip in Rome. It was a mix of ghosts, strange pictures, ancient medallions and legends.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
I have an infinite number of book to read, an infinite number of words to write, an infinite number of things to learn, I can't sleep anymore!!
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I satisfy my curiosities. I love reading, riding my bike and looking at the sky with my telescope. Sometimes I dedicate myself to drawing and photography.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The possibility to express myself and my creativity.
Who are your favorite authors?
Oh, I really love reading every kind of book, but my favorite authors are Licia Troisi, JKRowling and Garcia-Stohl in fantasy; Dan Brown and James Rollins in thriller; Calvino and Dante in italian literature.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I look at the covers firstly, and then I read the plot. It must be love at first sight!
Describe your desk
A pen holder with pencils of each possible color, a block-note, some books, a calendar, my notebook and something to crunch
How do you approach cover design?
I really enjoy play with my cover by myself. I'm not very goot at computer design, but I love getting involved in my project.I try to focus my attention on a very important object or detail of my story and I model on it the cover. I try to use all my creativity.
What's the story behind your latest book?
My great passion for astronomy and for legends especially greek myths around the costellations. Everything was mixed with fantasy of course!
What are you working on next?
I'm writing the sequel for 'Il confine dei sogni' at this moment, but new ideas are swirling around in my head.
