What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
first and foremost writing is a good thing to do. my greatest joy in writing is borne out of the need to reform my society. writers can play a crucial role in the transformation of their societies, this can be achieved through their writings. our society is plagued with various maladies and the government is doing its bid but the writers can also join the clarion call by addressing this challenges through their writings. so that is what i had set out to do in my book THE PRISONER OF AFRIKA. i am very excited and fulfilled to have been able to bring forth a book of this nature and i also thank God for empowering me to do this.
What do your fans mean to you?
well fans are a great asset to any writer, right now am still expecting feed back from those who have my books. am looking for fans.
What are you working on next?
i have a manuscript titled THE MYSTERIOUS LIVER and i am also working on THE GUEST OF KOSSO VILLA.
Who are your favorite authors?
They are many but Fredrick Forsyth, wole soyinka readily come to mind.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
the desire to be successful in writing and to change my society.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
initially i used to spend time watching tv, but now i relax with my playstation 2.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
through websites like amazon etc,

sorry i can't remember.

i can't remember, i have read a lot of stories.
How do you approach cover design?
i believe that is for my publishers to decide

i like war stories because i am historically inclined.

just like i said earlier second world war stories and the likes.

i have just joined smash words and we are still going through the process.
What is your writing process?
i start with a topic and get down to the nitty gritty, type and edit before looking for a publisher.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
my father was a civil servant moving from place to place, so i grew in many cities. my writing was influenced by the things i saw and experienced.
When did you first start writing?
i started writing in 1992
What's the story behind your latest book?
story behind my book is about corruption, injustice and greed in my society.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
i believe i have a story to tell and writing is the best platform to do this.

Thank you very much. my name is Mike Effa. Am an author from Nigeria in West Africa.
what is your motivation for writing?
Motivation first and foremost is like fuel to any car. my motivation to write stems from the belief that writers and artistes in general can play a crucial role in the transformation of our society. there are a lot of horrible things that we need to speak against like corruption, lesbianism and gay marriages, fraud etc. through this medium such bad habits can be given audience and the society awaken from its slumber.
thank you. your first book was published in october 2012 how has the journey been so far?
first i give glory God for everything. since 2012 i have been able to able to publish two more books namely the man without a back bone in 2013 and the mysterious liver in 2016. the man without a back bone is published in Nigeria while the mysterious liver is published in the united kingdom by copy house press.
waow! what is the mysterious liver all about?
okay- the mysterious liver is a piece of ethnic fiction. set in the hills of Boma village- its about a village chief who came upon a lump of flesh which he took home and had prepared for him. he devours it with relish and so begins a craving for this particular meat. however i won't say much just buy the book.

the mysterious liver was published in London and its available on all online stores all over the world. but you can get your copy on and all other amazon online stores and reputable book shops all over the world.

i am working hard on that, copies would soon be available.
