When did you first start writing?
I starting writing in 2000.
What's the story behind your latest book?
It is a story of a woman who had a not so good marriage for over 20 years before she finally found the strength and courage to leave. She is a woman who wants to now live her life on her own terms. Well until a younger man comes into her life and turns her world upside down.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
Having control over my work and being able to keep it the way I envision it to be.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
Smashwords has given me an outlet to get my hard work and ultimately my finished project out there for the readers.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The reactions that the readers have to the material they read.
What are you working on next?
I am working on the second volume in the Winters novel series. It is the continuation of Hope and Rafe's story.
Who are your favorite authors?
H.M. Ward, Kallypso Masters, Sherrilyn Kenyon, M.S. Parker, J.S. Cooper, and many others.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Reading, spending time with my kids and family, going to the movies.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Recommendations from other readers, family, and friends. Samples in books I am reading or a general search on a purchasing site.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
I love my 2nd generation Kindle, my 1st generation Kindle Fire, my phone, and my iPad. There are certain books that I don't use and e-reader for because I had started collecting series before that and I still love the traditional print format.
