Interview with Mitchell J Ferguson

Published 2017-03-04.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Reading, cooking, yard work, riding my motorcycle.
What's the story behind your latest book?
Lots of people search daily for information on Advantages and Disadvantages of Motorcycling, so I decided to write a book about it. I've been riding motorcycles steadily since 1987 and can offer a wealth of information for those considering (or in the beginning stages of ) motorcycling. I've also seen too many riders make devastating mistakes, so I'm trying to get the word out on how to avoid bad practices. This stuff will not only enhance your life, it will save it. That's the most important thing for me. I love helping people spend less and get more, of both time and money.
What are you working on next?
My next book is about my personal journey through life so far. From growing up in the midwest (mostly in Iowa), serving in the U.S. Navy Submarine Service, living in Scotland for nearly two years, working as an auto technician and starting writing. As I Work on it, I realize we have had quite a lot of funny (and a few very scary) things happen to us along the way.
I think readers will also reap the benefits of learning from my mistakes, which is quite valuable. A "laugh and learn" adventure!
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
The need to go to the bathroom and coffee. :) I believe every day is a gift. I want to use it up in best way I can, which is a never ending learning experience for me. I have come to view my life's work as finding ways to serve the most people I possibly can.
