Interview with M.R. Kuhn

What are your five favorite books, and why?
I love books where there is a strong Female role in the book. I would have to say that as of right now, I love the Protectors Series by P.M. Dooling and also the Chosen one Trilogy By Merielle Chester
What do you read for pleasure?
Besides Fantasy books, I am really into the, I would call it the rustic arts. I love self sufficiency, so i like to read Mother Earth News Magazines,
What is your e-reading device of choice?
I have a Barns and Noble Nook. I also use my Android phone a lot too.
Describe your desk
I have a desk i set up in my basement, The desk itself is a old counter top i pulled out of my kitchen after i remodeled it. I use two file cabinets to hold it up. I have a laptop with a external monitor attached to it and and a wireless keyboard and mouse. Pretty simple. I call it The Cave.
What are you working on next?
I am presently working on the second book of the exalon series, titled Eile. Eile is the kingdom just to the north of Woodhaven. A cloaked man has been manipulating The Grand Council of Wizards from behind the scenes No one know where he is from of or who he is. It is up to Everett, Ceria and the rest of the gang to figure out what is going on.

This is a easy question, My Kids!! In more why than one. Besides them waking me up, they are so much fun to be around.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
When I am not writing, I am usually outdoors. I like hiking and camping during the winter it is sledding and snow shoeing.
What is your writing process?
My writing process is pretty simple, I get an idea and i sit down and just starting writing. I do not outline or any thing like that. I just let the words flow onto the paper.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The greatest joy of writing is putting my mind into the minds of my characters and being that person and what I would do in that situation. I love that aspect of writing. I just write about what I would see and do. This is a large part of my writing.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
If i am looking for another book, I look at the books I am interested in and i do use the sample pages and read the description of the books.
How do you approach cover design?
I do not do my cover design, I have a vision of what I am looking for, and I talk to a designer about it and I work with her on it. I use Amanda Matthews at AMK Design Studios.
