Interview with Dyeluazon Life

What's the story behind your latest book?
Ezra is a thriller-suspense type with a side category of lesbianism. It focuses mainly on this Ezra girl. She seems like a normal person to everyone but if you really know that she was a former mental institute patient, what would you have think of her? And when murders start happening around her, would think she's the culprit behind the crime or would you think otherwise?

The story mainly revolves around Ezra and her trial on becoming a new person. Did she failed or did she loose herself forever? I guarantee you gore and eroticism in this novel. I will try my best to write in way that when you read, you can actually see it.
What are you working on next?
I will working on Ezra : Part 2 and will start on a new novel adventure. I have a few ideas in mind but not sure which one to go with first. I hope my readers would point me to the right direction.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I want to accumulate like-mind readers. I love the stories I wrote, but what about my readers? Besides, getting side incomes, I want to know how good I am as an Author.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
Tricky this one.

I grew up surrounded by hypocrites. They go to church but go for beer afterward and by beer I mean all alcoholic drinks they could get their hands on. Still, they dare to judge you. You don't have a sturdy job? They look at you differently. Did you attend college or university? They will definitely look down on you.

My whole life was a dark pit, and that really influenced my writings.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
No, unfortunately I don't. The only thing I remember was I started writing short stories in primary school for English or Malay exam or test papers.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
That would be the recognition that I received from my readers. If they say I'm good, I'm content and want nothing more than their full support towards my writing career.
What is your writing process?
I usually start with an idea. The hardest parts are always putting my imaginations into words. I wanted to write as good as when reader read, they actually can see what's happening. English isn't my first language, it's challenging to get creative with literature. But I still love telling stories regardless.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Love. Yeah, I know it's cliche. Love help me up everyday. Love got me through anything. It's all about love. Even Ezra couldn't live without the love of her family, Pru and everybody else.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
Life's Brief Candle was a poem by non other than William Shakespeare. It wasn't the first story I ever read but it gave such an impact and how shallow my views on my own life is.
What do you read for pleasure?
I mostly sink into fictions, fantasies and horrors. I enjoy reading them as I go to sleep and wake from sleep. Right now I'm reading a totally different genre. "The Great Love Stories" by R.H. Lesser give me a whole different view on love. Love, and I'm not talking about some romantic, fantasy here. I'm talking about loving God and how much you're sacrificing for that. There are many stories in there including David who fought Goliath, Al Ghazali, and Mira Bai the princess. It's a good read. It give another perspective on what love really is.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
That's easy, I'll be spending my time watching animes, tv series like Pretty Little Liars, go to the cinema, eat (I eat a lot), and lazying around doing nothing at all.
Describe your desk
My desk is full clusters. I have stacks of dvds, my keys, my phone (or course), my pendrive and hardrive, fan and aircon remote, my perfume, my powerbank, power extension, my gastric medicine, my earphone, my nail clipper, hand sanitizer, mousepad, polaroid sunglasses, dry junk food in a small size, and finally my laptop and its cooler.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I normally search through Google. I found Smashwords through an entry from a blog about publishing your own book.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
There are definitely no words to describe my gratitude towards Smashwords. Smashwords has helped me a lot. And I mean A LOT!
