What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
My work as a freelance translator besides reading and writing. I love to have breakfast too ;)
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Reading, chatting with friends through facebook, talking with mom and other relatives.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I usually was reading either free ebooks or old and cheap paper books. Now I can buy some ebooks since I have emoney!
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yeah: "I love you Amgad أحبك يا أمجد" I guess it was the first, but not totally sure.
What is your writing process?
Before I had a computer, I used to write on papers. I used to write poems and short stories. When I had the computer, I started to write on my Arabic blog and after that the English one. I love writing since it provide to me a big space to show my opinion, whether there are readers or not. But I have readers anyway.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
I read so many Christian books since people here in Egypt "I'm included" are religious. But the first non-religion story I read was in Arabic and called "The Devil's Diamonds ماسات الشيطان" It's something related to Action. And I loved it so much. I read it when I was studying in my 11 grade. Since that time, I haven't quit reading and writing whatever happens because before all writing for instance comfortes me.
How do you approach cover design?
Mmmm, It's a hard question :P I am ebegging my friends to do that for free because I have not the enough resources :(
What are your five favorite books, and why?
1) The Bible = The best book.
2) Chronicles of Narnia by C.S Lewis = I love it so much.
3) Harry Potter = Good person :P
4) Heidi = One of the best books for kids.
5) My B00KS ;) Yeah!!
What do you read for pleasure?
Kids and young adults novels :D
What is your e-reading device of choice?
I have not any :(
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
I've just started so I can't tell.
Describe your desk
My desk is the desk of the pc itself, it's not so comfortable, but I will modify it or buy a new desk.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
Egypt, exactly Upper Egypt, and yes of course, all my writings "novels and short stories" are infulenced by the Egyptian environment.
When did you first start writing?
when I was 14 maybe, but I focused on writing so much 2 years later.
What's the story behind your latest book?
I wrote the stories of the book on my Arabic blog through the latest 4 years "since 2010". I'm going to translate it to English, but after publishing my coming soon neovel "Abanoub"
What motivated you to become an indie author?
The houses of print here are too bad :D
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
Not yet, I've just started!
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
It makes me communicate with others by their feedbacks.
What do your fans mean to you?
I appreciate their interest so much.
What are you working on next?
Abanoub, a novel talks about the relationship between Muslims and Christians in Egypt. Its main hero is a kid called Abanoub. In the first part he is just a first grader. I hope you all enjoy reading it.

C.S Lewis, Josh Mackdwell. and I hope myself ;)
