I read e-books straight from my computer. Sometimes I read on my phone or tablet, but I prefer my computer!
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
Right now I am trying out some different marketing techniques. When I find the one that works I'll definitely edit the interview!
Describe your desk
I've been working on a crafting project, so right now my desk is full of yarn crochet needle and scissors, a box of business cards, and a fingernail file! I also have a bottle of ibuprofen because you never know when you'll need it, my i-pod, and a change jar!
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in West Virginia. I read a lot when I was younger. I also wrote poetry and short stories as far back as elementary school.
When did you first start writing?
Probably as soon as I picked up a pencil!
What's the story behind your latest book?
A guy and a girl walk into a bar, and... they're both dating other people at the time, and both decide to hook up even though they both know they probably shouldn't.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I contacted a couple of publishers but didn't get any answers back. My family encouraged me to self-publish, so I tried it out!
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
I'm still working on it!
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Just to be able to get the stories out of my head and on paper! I would seriously be happy just writing even if no one ever read my stories. Although, I would like for everyone to share my joy with me!
Who are your favorite authors?
I would have to say Dean Koontz, Suzanne Collins, and Jude Deveraux. I like to write romantic stories that keep you on your toes and thrill you while you're falling in love.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Watching Netflix, college classes, fantasy TV shows such as Once Upon A Time and Doctor Who, going to the movies, crafting... lots of stuff!
