What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Hope. Hope is what inspires me to get out of bed each morning. Hope in a new day is inspiration enough.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
When in not writing which is usually never cause I'm constantly writing something, but when I'm not writing I'm reading. I love to read. My favorite genres are murder, suspense, romance, mystery, poetry..etc.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I always discover e-books by either searching out a specific genre of by word of mouth. I also follow a lot of indie authors on Facebook so I usually find a great read.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Lol! Yes ...it was about my favorite bear that was a dog that my mother gave me. I named him " ruff ruff". He was my favorite thing.
What is your writing process?
My writing process? Is there really a process to writing? I just write what I feel most of the time since I am a of the poetry genre. But when I do get stuck i seek out writing prompts to fetch new ideas or just to refresh my mind.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
Ummm...The first real story I ever read was "Green Eggs and Ham By DR. Seuss" and the impact it had on me or what it taught me was to never say never. How can you know until you try.
How do you approach cover design?
Cover design us usually just a scatter of ideas. Sometimes i'll do it myself and sometimes i'll get a little help or have someone put my ideas to work. It can be difficult at times but the end result is usually beautiful. Beauty most times comes from chaos.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
I know why the caged bird sings.~Maya Angelou
The Cay.
The pearl.
The Good Earth.
Memoirs of a Giesha.

All these books contain strive adversity and tragedy. But towards the end comes triumph. That silver lining.
What do you read for pleasure?
Cause it's just awesome to be able to drift through different worlds. Different imaginings. A great story can turn around a horrible day. Takes away the worries.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
My reading device of choice is the kindle. I love it. Just recently got the kindle fire for christmas.
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
I mean I post to my blog and my readers who I love dearly are very supportive. I've been on Twitter and I'm really still learning how to not only market my work but market myself as well.
Describe your desk
Messy. Lol. Unorganized. Notebooks. Books. Paper. Pens. Pencils. More pens...lol. it's just a mess.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I'm a southern girl . Born and bred in South Carolina. And influenced me in the way of knowing that without knowing who you are, it's either sink or swim. So I'm learning how to swim.
When did you first start writing?
I've been writing since I was 10 years old. It's just something that I've always loved.
What's the story behind your latest book?
Ummm....my latest book "Naked: Thoughts Bared " which you can find on Amazon.com on kindle and in paperback ...is on the sensual side of things. The story behind it is just a blossoming of a 28 year old woman pouring out verse like cream. I'm very proud of it myself.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
Just the fact that I didn't want my work in the hands of someone who could possibly not do justice to it. I don't want to be a side project when working with someone. I want to be the main agenda so I just started creating my way.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
Well I've just joined smash words so we'll see how it goes. I am excited though.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
That fact that with my words I can touch whoever I want with the feelings and thoughts in my words. I can love who I want with my love of words without causing problems. Basically because I can be free to just be.
What do your fans mean to you?
Omg! They mean everything. They are the whole foundation to me trying to actually build a brand. I hope they enjoy my work and feel free to just enjoy life. That's my hope.
What are you working on next?
My next collection of poetry which is just a mixture of sensual, love poetry. I believe "Uninhibited: Freedom in Verse " will show the woman in me. Hopefully. It'll be out January 5th 2015.
