Interview with ttttttttttttt xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Describe your desk
On the wall in front of me is an orange-yellow piece of cloth, square in shape, with Southwestern patterns. I bought it on eBay for a dollar.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Holland, which is mostly below sea-level. This influenced my writing by forcing me to grow very tall, escaping the earth's gravity more than people from other countries feel they have to. This made me lose touch with the earth, become woozy as a way of life. My writing obviously reflects this... I think...
When did you first start writing?
At 14. Poems of course.
What's the story behind your latest book?
That's a ridiculous question. The story BEHIND my latest book is INSIDE the book.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
Reading Gregory David Roberts's Shantaram. I'm slumming it.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
Future tense, please. Future tense.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
It makes people angry with me. I enjoy this.
What are you working on next?
My working title for the next book is: "The Stealing Of The Vasa Ship." I hope the people in Stockholm won't mind. But if they do, so much the better. Because then they'll be angry with me.
Who are your favorite authors?
James Joyce, Nelson DeMille, Carlos Castaneda, Lee Child, Tolkien, Stephen King, Gregory David Roberts, Grisham, Modesitt, Stieg Larsson
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I sit in the wild Swedish forest, smoking a pipe.
What is your writing process?
I think of all the people I'm pissed off at, and soon my cup is running over.
How do you approach cover design?
Instinctively.
Any new ventures in publishing and editing?
Glad you asked.
