I'm writing a book about the first and last human colony on another planet... but where most of the males were killed in on the trip over. I'm interested in the dynamic of the gender roles and how 2,000 years later the lack of men early on in the colony would effect the society... oh and its got spaceships!

What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
World building and creating real people in fascinating worlds.
What are you working on next?
After my current novel I want to write more short stories and work out some more ideas... basic writer stuff.

Oh man... John Scalzi, Ernest Cline, Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman... list goes on...
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
My kids. Its a cliche answer but true... without them I'd be allowed to stay there all day. It'd be wonderful.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I'm a giant nerd.
So surfing iO9, or other geek blogs... house work and nerdy podcasts.
Fixing computers... avoiding the opposite sex... typical nerd stuff.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Word of mouth usually, friends recommend things to me.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
It was a comic book with me as a non-copywrited super... man.
