Interview with Amey Coleman

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in many towns in Missouri. I was always the "new girl" in school. The family I was raised up in, really inspired me to be better.
When did you first start writing?
When I was visiting my grandmother's home, one Christmas Day, she handed me a notebook and pen. She told me to quit blurting out stories to her, and write them down instead. I was eight years old at the time.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I became an indie author, because I found it more convenient. I didn't have to pay for an agent, or worry about submission prices to publisher companies.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
My greatest joy of writing is being able to escape my reality, to a world that I created.
