Interview with Krissttina Isobe

Who are your favorite authors?
I have many favorite authors that I read from time to time. It's hard for me to pin point just a few for many
authors contributed to the writing world and they are fun to read or to learn with.
What are my five favorite books to read?
This is a wonderful question! The top five books I love are:
1. James Herriot's or James A. Wight books. I waited for his books to be on the shelves. Though he has passed I still reread his books and enjoy them. I'm a cat person!

2. Lillian Jackson Braun books The Cat Who...comes in second. As I said I'm a cat person.

3. I love anything James A. Michener for learning about writing. Mr. Mitchener wrote. in many different genres.

4. Glen Grant;s Obake books series. Obake is ghost in Japanese. Hawaii like Georgia is a very haunted place. I read a lot of Goosebumps comic books as a child.

5. Sir Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes series and Earl Derr Bigger's Charlie Chan book series.

I read a lot and have many favorite authors and these are just my favorite five authors.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Hawaii. Don't get confused about our southern most island the Big Island and our State of Hawaii. We call the southern most island the Big Island and the State Hawaii less confusion. Growing up in Hawaii is wonderful though I love to see snow and autumn colors of the the leaves I see on television. I wonder about making snow angels? We can make sand angles on the beaches, but I've never made one-too messy on the hair. Living in Hawaii does influence my writing, but my muse influences me more.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I wanted to become a rich writer.
What are you working on next?
Right now I'm vacationing for personal reasons.
What is your writing process?
My writing process is very simple. I have ideas always and I write it in my outline. I let it flow and if it doesn't flow I discard it. My writing well, It just comes alive. I must always and this is important for me to have characters be alive like being someone I can see going to the library. I expand my ideas to fill pages of a book.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
I always wonder what wonderful things will happen each day. I always like to think about what I'll eat for the day for I love the table.
How do you approach cover design?
My cover design is one that matches my book. I look for my designs before I start writing my book. Why do this? Because I have an outline of my book and an ambiance of what I want to convey and I always want to have my cover design match my books.
Describe your desk
My desk is my laptop.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Like everyone else I'm a busy person.
