Interview with Ofentse Motumi

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in a small town in South Africa where opportunities were rare (or atleast they appeared to be)and as a result I usually spent most of my time reading, and that's where it all began
When did you first start writing?
I serendipidiously stumbled upon the teachings of my late mentor while I was just a salesman, and the insights and ideas he shared with me inspired me to seek a channel where I would be able to inspire others like I was, I used to write for fun but it got serious when I realised that I could actually touch lives through my writings
What's the story behind your latest book?
It's not so much a story but the lessons that are meant to inspire everyone and bring that 'AHA!' realization to those who're earnestly seeking a serious breakthrough in life. It's easier than you can imagine you know
What motivated you to become an indie author?
Strange as it may sound, I actually stumbled upon a book that didn't quite do it for me, I simply put it back on my shelve and thought to myself: ''I can do better than this'', and the rest as they say, is history.
What do your fans mean to you?
They're my extended family, I'm taking care of me for them and I always ask that they take care of themselves for me as well.
What are you working on next?
''The Spirit of Success" That's all I can say for now
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yeah, I still have that journal... but I keep it a secret or I'd loose the respect of my readers (Smiling)
What is your writing process?
I just find a title and a subject that I believe to be interesting and go with the flow.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
The story of how Adam fell in love with Eve on first sight, I was 5. I since developed a philosophy that ''You will know it when you find it''
What do you read for pleasure?
Inspirational, Self Help and Spiritual material, those kind of books in my opinion always take possibilities to an insane level.
Any final words to your readers?
Yes. Dreams come true, but they need to work through you.
