Interview with Oleg Malikov

What motivated you to become an indie author?
One day Forrest Gump felt like running and he ran across the US several times before he stopped.
One day felt like writing and I did not stop until I finished two books. I am now searching for ideas for another one.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
Have not used it long enough to say anything about success.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Expressing my thoughts on paper and sharing my ideas with the world. I think one of the problems with the society now is that we forgot how to listen. But when we read - it is all that we do. 100% pure listening to other person's ideas. Let's read more!
What do your fans mean to you?
Support...inspiration...- everything! Without fans and readers, there would not be nothing to do for writers.
What are you working on next?
I am working on it :)
Who are your favorite authors?
I do not like naming names; I like authors who write from their hearts and those who do not worry about how much the book sells for, but, rather, how much good it is going to bring to the readers.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Sunshine, smell of morning coffee and my 2-month old daughter, of course :)
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Riding my bike, walking, talking, living.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I read the title, the description and then make my mind about a book.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
it was a long ago; I wrote it and lost the manuscript somewhere :)
What is your writing process?
write, stop, think, write some more.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
Published 2014-12-08.
