They are part o my world. That is, part of my life too.
What are you working on next?
A true story of a Japanese Foot Soldier who survived the atrocities of war in China and Siberia.
Who are your favorite authors?
William Shakespeare, Mark Twain, John Steinbeck, Ernest Hemingway, Yukio Mishima, etc.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
To be able to see the sun shine again.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Working at the company I work for.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
I will never will forget the first story I wrote, I was fifteen then and it was a short story about two teenagers in love.
What do you read for pleasure?
Yes, I do a lot of reading. I read all kinds of books.
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
Most of the books I wrote I didn't intend to sell them, so I have not studied any technique.

It's crowded with books and documents.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I was born in Brazil, and lived there until I was fifteen, then I came to Japan and started school from the elementary school again, because of the language barrier.
When did you first start writing?
When I went to junior high school in Japan and went to a lot of trouble to assimilate to the new culture. The culture shock motivated myself to write something about my new experiences.
What's the story behind your latest book?
It's the story of a man who goes through so many hardships, face death so many times, loses hope to ever go home again, but prevails at the end.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
Yes, it was a novel, "Kidnapped" by Robert Louis Stevenson, and it gave me the desire to travel to far distant lands.
How do you approach cover design?
I search for simple covers with simple designs but captivates the eye of the reader like the Chinese Characters.
