Interview with Logoi Publishing House

Published 2014-07-29.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I try to read at least five books per month. I love game shows and romantic movies. I love to bowl, horseback ride and just hang with some girls and laugh.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I love just shopping around. I also look for books referred to me by friends.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
I wrote about my first kiss. It was my life told in a fictitious manner. I was pretty proud of the story if I say so myself. lol
What is your writing process?
Since most of my books are spiritual in nature. I pray and seek God about what I should write about. Then I have a song list that I will listen to as I research and organize my thoughts. Then once I feel that I am inspired and have enough facts. I sit at my computer in a completely quiet room and start writing in a word document.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
reading in general helps me believe that anything is possible. especially when I read a true life story or an empowering story. I do read a lot of fiction and hope to branch out and write fiction one day. I love to dream and imagine. reading opens me up to be that little kid again and imagine a world that is full of possibilities.
How do you approach cover design?
mostly I want my cover to be eye-catching and give a hint of what you will find on the inside of the book. the same holds true for the titles.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
The Bible - just inspiring if you ask me.
Under Cover: The Promise of Protection Under His Authority (John Bevere) - as a leader we need to remember we all follow someone.
A Tale of three Kings: A Study in Brokenness (Gene Edwards) - see above reason.
Remember Me (Mary Higgins Clark) - I like all Mary Higgins Clark books. She is just a great writer and story teller
What do you read for pleasure?
Yes, reading relaxes me.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
Kindle Fire. :)
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
Will have to come back and answer this one. New to selling my books online so I will have to try them out and see.
