Interview with Rev Paul J. Bern

What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
I list my books on as many book websites as I can, plus I stay active on Social Media. I have gained a fairly significant following on Facebook, Google+, Twitter and Linked In. Lately, I have added Tumblr, Pinterest, Wattpad, and the Rhemalog Community, and I have plans to add as many as ten more similar social media sites, such as Instagram and bookdaily.com. My primary book sales websites are Amazon and Kindle, plus Smashwords, Apple and Kindle. I also sell one here and there from my website, http://www.pcmatl.org/books-and-donations. But my highest percentage of sales by far have been when I get out and sell books in person. People contact is still my best sales tool, and I sell books at art and craft shows, sidewalk promotions in downtown Atlanta near my residence, and at occasional book signings.
When did you first start writing?
I began writing in 2010 while I was in the process of being put on disability. I needed something that could keep me busy at home. So I started writing and blogging, and I've been doing it ever since.
What's the story behind your latest book?
My latest book, “Sole Survivor: One Man's Testimony for Christ”, has now been released in softback! Rated 4.5 stars on Goodreads.com! Based on a true story, this 100-page book is the third title from Christian nonfiction author Rev. Paul J. Bern. It's a memoir about raw survival when the odds are stacked against you. The book tells all about starting out with nothing and ending up with everything God has to offer. It contains several rags-to-riches stories with lots of ups and downs set against a backdrop of being always alone and yet never alone. It tells about being adopted as a child only to be put out as a teenager, having run-ins with the law as a young man, only to find Christ and end up being adopted into the Family of God as an adult. It tells of the author becoming disabled later in life, only to find he has everything he needs to live well Spiritually rather than as a “consumer”. It's a quick, easy and inspiring read that enlightens, uplifts and refreshes all who read it, telling a story so rich that it's well worth your time. This book is available on-line from the Progressive Christian Ministries website at www.pcmatl.org/books-and-donations (from site menu), from Create Space at http://www.createspace.com/5245426 for $7.95. Or, as an e-book on Payhip at https://payhip.com/b/pvQc or on Goodreads.com, Smashwords, Kindle and Nook. Free shipping and handling from the ministry website!

One of the most exhaustive, comprehensive books about the growing “Occupy Wall St.” and “We Are The 99%” Movements written so far. Pro-Occupy; anti-government; very dissident. Predicts mass civil unrest in America and abroad unless certain changes are made and rampant economic inequality is corrected. Politically subversive reading at its best!
