Interview with Petra Rona

Describe your desk
Imac, books, papers, little things that inspire me and like to keep focus on. Colourful. It's a picknick table I put inside to work at. Bigger than the usual desk, so it can hold everything I need.
What do you read for pleasure?
Anything about business, history, philosophy, international affairs, creative thinking, handicraft techniques, etc. The only other thing I read that is not any of those are the books of Andy McNab and occasionally a Chicklit. Easy reading :-)
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in the North of the Netherlands. An area where people are down to earth. This probably influenced my writing when you look at my style. I don't make things big and complex with fancy words. Instead I relate to examples that are familiar to me and make it easier to understand. Keeping it simple.
