Interview with Paul Bailey

What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
I'm afraid I'm one of those horrible morning people! So I'm often up at 6am and grabbing a coffee before cracking on with my day.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Working with clients, doing research on personal development and answering questions from readers and clients.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Clients often recommend personal development books to me that they have found useful
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes, it's painful to look back on it now, but it was a huge milestone, even if I didn't realise is at the time. Writing you first anything is a huge achievement
What is your writing process?
Stream of concious for me, I try not to get too structured at first as I find I just get word blinded. Just get it all out and worry about the order and flow of things later.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
Although it is fiction, "The celestine prophecy" had an enormous impact on me
How do you approach cover design?
Just stick my face on it and lots of big bold letters! Maybe one day I'll start taking a more "professional" approach!

Through my own website & Amazon
Describe your desk
A bit of a mess! Papers everywhere. I have a mad clear out every few weeks.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I group up in a large town, so I was alway surrounded by people and would watch them often, it's this interest in other people that led me to become a coach and author.
When did you first start writing?
Only a few years ago, when I was 35.
