Nook, Adobe Digital Editions & Nook for Web - the latter because I recently broke the Nook.
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
Email lists, blog & Twitter so far.
Describe your desk
My desk is wherever my laptop is - sort of "have gun, will travel".
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up mainly in Alabama but lived for a short time each in Oregon and Michigan as well as travelled in between. I think the travel gave me a view of the country that expands my imagination in regard to world-building as a fantasy writer.
When did you first start writing?
I've been writing off and on for thirty years but I've been increasingly more committed over the last four years and especially the last few months.
What's the story behind your latest book?
The current e-book is a short story about a young woman name Coryss who is overwhelmed by her enemies. She's willing to do something about dire circumstances but has no power to overcome three murderous witches. She needs help but will she accept it and will it do anything for her?

My book, The Bow of Destiny is due out this fall. Here's the long description:
Athson the Archer has seen things that aren't there and suffered fits since being tragically orphaned as a child at the hands of trolls and Kregen the wizard. When a strange inheritance comes into his possession he's not quite sure it is real. But the trolls that soon pursue him are all too real and dangerous. And when the mystic Withling, Hastra, drags him into a quest for the mysterious Bow of Hart, Athson isn't always sure what's real and who his enemies are. With the wizard Kregen and his master the hidden dragon, Magdronu, involved Athson must face not only threats but his grasp on reality and the reasons behind his tragic past.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
The constant flow of creative ideas that I have which translate into stories. With my current level of commitment to writing I am thoroughly enjoying myself
