Interview with Rose Newman

What is your writing process?
I love to share my heartfelt love and knowledge to others hoping it will somehow be used to bring peace and hope to those searching for something real in their lives.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
The first story I ever read as a child was called "If Jesus Came to My House". It seemed very real and made me feel happy. The illustration was beautiful.
How do you approach cover design?
I try to create a cover that gives the prospective reader a desire to want to see what's inside.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Wales. Welsh people love poetry and so do I. It comes from the heart and flows from the soul.
When did you first start writing?
I started writing when I was 50 years old after many of my friends and family encouraged me to do so. They said I had much to tell that would help others.
What's the story behind your latest book?
My latest book tells about making decisions in our lives and how they all have a consequence that follows. I tried to give some insight into some of mine and how they turned out and why.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
I have loved working with Smashwords. It has been great to work with and very user friendly.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The greatest joy of writing for me is to know that someone out there will be encouraged and filled with hope and peace from reading my stories.
