Interview with Primus Moyo

Describe your desk
Well, I don't have a desk as yet. I write from home, on the sofa.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Zimbabwe in the second largest city of Bulawayo. I attended boarding school and i must say even at school, i was not happy with writing essays. I try to get my point across with as few words as possible . it used to cost me some marks at school. I am still a reluctant writer.
When did you first start writing?
This year is my first time to start writing
What's the story behind your latest book?
For starters I am a pastor. Secondly i am a teacher of the word. So i write to teach what people do not understand or may have trouble understanding. I write as it is revealed to me. My latest book is about the whole concept of altars in religion. What they are, why all the religions seem to share that similarity of altars, what will be going on?
What motivated you to become an indie author?
Oh it is very hard to publish, and especially where I come from in Zimbabwe. We do not have publishing houses of the quality in the United States nor do they have the capacity for marketing and public relations that go with promoting a book. On top of that, it is expensive in Dollar terms to publish with the traditional publishers overseas. So indie authoring is the obvious solution for me.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
Well at least I can now say I am a published author with two books under my belt!! But i am waiting to see how the sales come along since it's only been a month.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Revealing something new to the reader. If i don't open your eyes to something you didn't know, and if i fail to simplify a concept to the reader, then i have failed as a teacher.
What do your fans mean to you?
Everything!! Because knowledge is power. God said in his word "my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. So i value every reader who wants to get rid of ignorance.
What are you working on next?
I have just finished a work on romance about the most romantic man. there is some revelation on how to romance and why to romance in that book. I expect to publish it within the next two weeks.
Who are your favorite authors?
Myles Monroe, Kenneth Copeland, Joyce Meyer to mention but a few.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Success. I want to succeed in my field.

Truth sometimes sounds stranger than fiction, especially when one tries to explain all the weird happenings in the bible. And, why does it seem God in the bible is "obsessed" with measurements, specific instructions about how to do certain things and above all, he seems very particular about the order of things. This books explains one of these ceremonies - Altars!

Religion can sometimes be babaric or strange to say the least when one studies the religions of the world. In christianity for example why hang another human being on a cross to atone for the sins of the world? And this whole thing about Holy communion (eating Jesus' blood and eating his flesh). Sounds like cannibalism to most people. You will learn spiritual things are not what they seem.
