Interview with Ronald Kennedy

What do your fans mean to you?
They mean a lot to me. I'll always continue to make them laugh through my work. My follower's actions tells me they appreciate good humor and really enjoy my wacky style of writing, along with good artwork. (then again, maybe they're all just as crazy as me).LOL
What are you working on next?
Of course, another comedy. At the moment, I'm not sure on how I'll present the subject matter. Still thinking up a title and mapping out the rest of the 'game plan' in my mind.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Knowing that each day faces different challenges. Although many folks get up with a 'hum-drum' attitude, I feel Blessed that God shows His Grace by allowing me to open up my eyeballs each morning. My work awaits me, and I'm always ready to face anything thrown my way.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Next to taking care of errands or doing something around the house, I'm involved with music. I sing with my two brothers, Darrow & Lamont and best friend Ted. Currently, we just finished recording a CD, that hopefully will be the new theme song for the city of Chicago. We all feel good about it. Now to get a copy to the mayor or someone in his administration for approval. We have much more music, all types, in our musical library.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Wow! That was some years back. I remember sending different cartoon strips into various newspaper syndication's around the country. One was in a story type format that was rejected, just like all my other strips. Newspaper cartoon syndication is a tough field to crack! (I wonder how Jim Davis, the creator of 'Garfield,' done it)?
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
I remember the first book I read from cover to cover was 'Rich Dad, Poor Dad' by Robert Kiyosaki and Sharon Lechter. i thought this book was very good. You know a book has to be good when you can't put it down. After reading this, it made me feel anyone can be successful, if they just remain focused.
