Yeah, I was in Primary School at the time, in Year 5 when I came up with the idea. By then I had already become a bit of a rebel, and whilst the other people in my class were doing dance lessons I'd be left in an empty room, thinking of new ideas. I then came up with this idea (it sounds silly when I write it now though!) of a three eyed snake which wants to take over the world, and me being the hero kills it before it can. I even wrote a second one where the brother of the snake tries to take revenge, obivously a larger more meaner creature (how origional!).
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I've always wanted to write books from a young age and when ebooks came along I saw that it gave authors like me, who didn't have the money to publish paperbacks but had good ideas (Hopefully!) a chance to put our work out. The other reason was my two eldest brothers, who kept on saying their story was better than mine. So in the interests of bruising their ego I came up with the idea of this competition, where the best author (the one who has the most fans) would be the best writer in the house. So far we are locked in a stalemate.
