I started writing for pleasure when I was 12 years old

A collection of short stories and poems with some influences from my childhood

I started a writing group at a local library

I have always dreamed of writing a book and having it published, I was able to follow up this dream when I heard of smashwords

To become engrossed in my own dreams and imagination.

I hope that they enjoy what I write.

The sun, the rain, the frost, the snow. I am inspired by life.

I like to run, cycle, read, write to penfriends, I also offer respite care to children with a disability which keeps me busy.

I have to be inspired usually when I am on holiday and relaxed or somewhere different. I live close to the beach and it is my primary inspiration. Once I have an idea and plot I develop the characters and settings. I follow this up with any research that is needed and then I start writing. When I have finished the first draft I hand out to a few trusted friends to give feedback and then work on it again. When it is complete I try to leave it for about 6 weeks before looking at it again. I then publish to smashwords.

My grandmother always told me stories as a child she developed my interest in magic and beauty and fairy stories which are influences in my romance novels.

My daughter is a graphic designer, I often have set ideas but I acknowledge her understanding of the industry and I am pleasantly surprised
