Interview with Sauciron

What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
I'm inspired to get out of bed each day because I know there will be something new I will learn that day. And I will be able to use that new found knowledge to help someone live a healthier life.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I always wanted to learn how to play chess. I never did because I had no one to play. I now have a potential partner so I am taking lessons. I also like to play tennis.
What's the story behind your latest book?
My latest book will be devoted to men and women who want to improve or maintain their good health using holistic methods.
What is your writing process?
I take pencil to paper notes as my research progresses. My desk is often cluttered with numerous books and research papers which leaves little room for anything else. After the process is completed, I type the notes into a word document, check for spelling, rhetorical errors, and composition. I then organize all of the writings into a separate word document where the formatting takes place. After the formatting process has been completed I self-edit by reading the entire book aloud and checking for typos. After that I send the completed manuscript to a professional editor.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
My greatest joy of writing is to know that I am helping someone attain a healthier life as a result of my research.
When did you first start writing?
I first started writing after my mother died in 2001. I had compiled a large list of hand written notes during her illness and after she died I decided to formalize and categorize those notes.
How do you approach cover design?
I leave the design of the cover to a professional designer who has the experience and the graphics expertise. I do, however, give the designer guidelines and suggestions of what I would like to see in the design. I also require several designs from which to choose the final design.
What are you working on next?
My next book is going to be a holistic dictionary.
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
I have been writing articles for article sites since before the book was completed. I am currently writing for Article Biz, Go Articles, and eZine Articles. Ezine Articles has classified me as an expert author with a merit badge for women's issues. I have also used press releases, a blog, and a website devoted to the book and related subjects.
What do you read for pleasure?
I do quite a bit of reading during my research so when it comes time to relax; reading is not my first choice. It's like asking a professional tennis player to play a recreational game of tennis with you on a Sunday afternoon. If you asked them what they would like to do for recreation, tennis would not be their first choice.
