Interview with M.R. Vallone

What are you working on next?
I am waiting to see the readers response to my first two books. I have some great ideas and can envision the outline of my next story already. If they accept my extraordinary far out ideas in mixing science facts with science fiction set in modern day USA, I am raring to start writing again. It's just the way my brain sees what ifs.
Who are your favorite authors?
Too many but Dan Brown, Brad Meltzer. Michael Crichton and A.G. Riddle
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Rushing to find out how many people were entertained by my book the previous day.

really the samples and descriptions. If I like the description I look at the sample.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yep, back in high school freshman year. It was an English requirement and I got a D. Teacher wrote that it was a poor story and to forget writing. You don't have any talent. I followed her advice for 20 years and avoided English in college and life.
What is your writing process?
Ideas pop into my head. Love science facts and wonder what if. Many times future ideas in science fiction become facts. Star Trek anyone?
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
Tom Sawyer in the 6th grade. Boy, I could see the characters so clear. I was amazed and had a crush on Becky Thatcher.

On a farm in Niles, Ohio.
