Interview with Sean Taylor

Published 2017-12-27.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
The first story I wrote was in Middle School about a dragon, but the first "professional" story I wrote was a blatant C.S. Lewis rip-off that is terribly difficult to read now.
What is your writing process?
I like to write either at my desk with instrumental music playing. Or at a Starbucks with the earbuds in and brown noise playing.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
I read voraciously as a child, working my way through the illustrated classics, then moving up to devour my Childcraft encyclopedias.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
A Farewell to Arms
I Will Fear No Evil
Player Piano
A Good Man Is Hard To Find (and other stories)
They're Eyes Were Watching God
What do you read for pleasure?
Even if I'm reading for knowledge or for research, I'm still reading for pleasure.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
I like any of them, my phone or my tablet or my old Slick reader. I'm impartial.
