Interview with Suzanne

How do you approach cover design?
Confession time...I DO judge a book by it's cover. If a book has an appealing cover, one that makes me stop and pick it up, it has a good chance of being read by me. (of course, that's assuming the cover is somehow related to the contents of the book.) It may be shallow but I'm a visual person.
What do you read for pleasure?
My book interests are all over the map. I might read a self-help book, a novel, a decorating book, or an autobiography at any given time. For example, I'm in the middle of Family Pictures by Jane Green and a book about Steve Jobs.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
I use my ipad when reading an ebook. You guessed Apple girl through and through!
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
What inspires me to get out of bed each day? Well, the fact that I can! I have Multiple Sclerosis, and while I'm doing great so far, the day may come when that is not the case. I firmly believe in the "get up, get dressed and show up" philosophy. That and the fact that I have the most amazing life, so why not get out of bed!
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Living in Florida, I'm an overgrown beach bum. Many of my days are spent on the beach or floating in the Gulf. Other than that, I have 2 daughters that I adore spending time with. We go shopping, kayaking, love to bake and watch our favorite shows. Then there are the 2 cutest dogs in the world, which I happen to own. I could happily hang out with them all day. Last but not least, the MANY projects I have, or plan to start. Creative minds never rest, right?
